70×7 Homecoming
About 9 years ago when 70 x 7 Life Recovery was just getting started in prisoner reentry ministry. One of its first participants was Sopath Ou. He was just released from prison after serving a 5 year sentence and struggling to find his first steps. He allowed us to get to know him well, showed himself faithful with Serving Together and we were able to connect him with a mentor and employment through Bosch’s Landscaping who has a strong relationship with Ridge Point. He worked there for a couple years and once off parole was able to move to California to be with family. Recently, he just showed up here on a morning stating he was in town to visit his sister. He wanted to be sure to stop in to say thank you, he is doing well raising his children, working and working to do the next right thing. What a surprise and what a blessing to see him after all this time and all that he wanted to say was…thank you!
