This is where Groups become tremendously helpful. Groups typically consist of 6-12 people who meet regularly to do life together.
If you’re looking for a circle of friends, an opportunity to grow spiritually and to intentionally engage your social circles, see below how you can get involved in Groups.
Life change happens in the context of authentic community, of faith family:
We are designed for relationships. Spiritual family defines us, grows us, challenges us, strengthens us, and blesses us. Our culture devalues personal relationships, but Scripture requires relationships for spiritual growth.
Groups provide a community of in-depth study, application and accountability for spiritual growth.
Through groups we show godly love to one another and demonstrate that we are disciples of Christ. As we learn to love God and love others, our lives become larger and we become more effective at loving our lost and broken world.
We are currently recruiting leaders for our upcoming Rooted Groups, Fall Term Groups and Life Groups.
No experience is necessary, just a willingness for God to use you and your gifts to help others discover more about God and themselves.

Mark Twain famously said, “the two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”
Without exception, those days come and go for every person. But at some point in our lives most of us want to find deep connections with God, others and our purpose. Rooted can help you do that in a relational and meaningful way.
Each week groups gather to discuss daily readings and explore new topics. Together you’ll serve in a local context and build confidence in who God’s designed you to be.
Frequently asked Questions about Rooted
What is Rooted? Rooted is a 10-week group discipleship experience that catalyzes life-change by provoking questions and conversations about God, faith, purpose and the church among others
Is there a cost to Rooted? Yes. Rooted costs $30 per person and $55 per couple which comes to just $3 per week! This cost includes all sessions and materials.
Are there scholarships available? We strive to make the cost of Rooted affordable. But we understand that times can be hard. We don’t want anyone to miss out on this life changing experience because of financial challenges. We, therefore, offer partial scholarships to deserving applicants. A scholarship application is included in the registration form.
Is childcare available? No. Not at this time during COVID-19.
How do I register for Rooted? Once registration is for the session you are interested in is open (typically 1 month before kick-off), just go to our website and click the REGISTER button. Fill out the registration form. A secure online payment option is available. Once you’ve completed the form, click SUBMIT and we will take it from there.
What if Registration is closed? If you miss the online registration. You may register in-person at the Kick-off. We, however, will not accept registrations after the Kick-off.
When will I get my Rooted Book? Rooted books are handed out at the kick-off. Watch out for an information email ahead of the kick-off
How will I be assigned a Rooted group? The Rooted prayerfully reviews every application and places participants in groups of 6-10. We typically groups people according to age, gender, marital status and life stage. We normally end up with groups for singles, married couples and co-ed groups. While we try our best to accommodate special request, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed with a group or leader of your choice.
What if I will not be able to attend all sessions? Rooted is a cumulative 10 weeks experience, meaning, the weeks build upon each other. Now, we understand that 10 weeks is a significant time commitment. However, if you prioritize attending all the 10 sessions, you will find it worth it. If you know that you will miss more than 3 weeks, we recommend that you consider a future Rooted session. Don’t worry. If you have already registered and paid, your money will be transferred to that future session.
Where will my Rooted Group Meet? All of our Rooted groups meet in the chapel at Pine Trails Camp. We will be following COVID-19 guidelines to the best of our ability. More information will be provided prior to our first gathering.

LIFE GROUPS
Family of Disciples on Mission
At their core, Life Groups are where we give and receive help to follow Jesus as a Family of Disciples on Mission.
Our Life Groups typically consist of 5-15 people who meet regularly, seek to respond to who God is and what He is doing, relate to one another and to our neighbors, reach our neighbors with the love of Christ, restore what is broken in our city and world and replicate what Jesus is doing in us.

Intentional Community
They are a great way to get involved in our community and meet our church members. They are usually short term (8-12 week) gatherings focused on a specific topic or activity.
